孟巍隆Benjamin Hammer，1977年生于美国旧金山，副教授，硕士生导师。在American University获得国际关系学士学位，2005年获得山东大学文史哲研究院中国古典文献学专业硕士学位，为山东大学该专业第一位欧美硕士；2010年获得北京大学中文系中国古典文献学博士学位，为北京大学该专业第一位欧美博士。现任教于山东大学儒学高等研究院，研究方向为先秦两汉经学、子学，古文献整理，西方汉学研究，东西方文化比较。在国内外共发表二十余篇学术论文。2013年参与创办《文史哲》国际版Journal of Chinese Humanities，并任副主编。

业余时间练习并教授巴西柔术。

Benjamin Hammer, 1977, Associate Professor. Received his undergraduate degree in international Relations from American University’s School of International Service; Master’s from Shandong University in Classical Chinese Documentology; PhD from Peking University in the same field. Since 2010 I have been a faculty member at Shanda’s Advanced Institute for Confucian Studies, teaching and publishing articles. See below for list of publications. Areas of specialty include textual studies of the Confucian classics and other schools of philosophy from the Pre-Qin to Han period, philology, textual criticism, and Western Sinology.

In 2013 I co-founded theJournal of Chinese Humanities. Published by Brill, theJournalis dedicated to giving scholars inside China an opportunity to have their voices heard in the English-speaking academic world.

In my spare time I enjoy Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
